I just had to come on and write about how excited I am to see Throat from Vivid Entertainment! We watched the 6 episode series "Deeper Throat" on ShowTime After Dark and it was an awesome series. I don't know how they would do a second season, but I really hope they find a way.
The show followed Steven Hirsch (co-Chairman of Vivid Entertainment) as he tried to acquire the rights to remake the legendary "Deep Throat." Steven has to deal with the whack-jobs over at Arrow Productions and it is hilarious to see the interactions between the two. This was seriously one of the funniest and most entertaining shows that I've seen in a while!
Arrow Productions is run by a very strange and hard-lined Vietnam Veteran aptly named Raymond Pistol. The things that this guy does are too strange and funny for words! Raymond does not have too much interaction with Vivid, and instead sends his "VP" Robert Interlandi. Robert is a young punk and I loved watching Steven Hirsch set him straight.
They showed a little bit about the making of "Throat" and it appears to be a pretty interesting movie. Being based off of the 1972 classic, this movie appears to have a lot more of a storyline to it than most porn movies today. And if nothing else, the concept looks quite unique!
